With over 100 academic papers to his name to date, Anthony has established himself as an important contributor to international dementia research. He obtained his PhD from Bangor University for a thesis on cognition and activities of daily living in ageing and dementia, and he maintains a strong interest in functional ability and cognition.
Anthony was part of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Early Career Research Online Community Project Steering Group, advising on the direction, design and content of the now-thriving Dementia Researcher web resource. He joins DeNPRU Exeter fresh from his work on the decade-long IDEAL dementia research programme. An experienced quantitative researcher, Anthony has strong interests in conducting meta-analysis and systematic reviews.
