Professor Dame Louise Robinson

Louise is a Professor of Primary Care and Ageing and Regius Professor of Ageing and is the University lead for the Newcastle team. Louise brings with her a huge wealth of knowledge and experience as both an academic GP and Professor in Primary Care and end-of-life care. Her clinical expertise in primary care, dementia care and research experience enables her to provide first rate support and guidance to the team of researchers within DeNPRU Exeter.

Louise has 20 years of experience as a health services researcher with expertise in mixed methods research. She was primary care lead for the Prime Minister’s Dementia Challenge and is a member of the National Dementia Care Guidelines Development Group. Louise received a damehood for services to Primary Care and for improving older people’s quality of life and care they receive in 2018.
